"This is an unbelievable place. We have stayed in lots of different places across the world but you would do well to find a more relaxing, beautiful and unique place. The breakfasts were lovely, overlooking the valley. We loved the pool area too. The accomodation itself was spacious and had everything you needed. A special shout out to the staff too who make this such a special place. Definitely make sure you order a picnic too! Thank you for a great stay"

"The check-in left me at the gate for 1.5 hours when the key code was not working. It took a while to reach someone on the contact numbers. On day 2 the key code for the main house was not working. It took even longer to get someone on the phone but they were unable to get assistance for 3 hours. I was between the door and my car for 3.45 hours. The temperature was a cold 41 degrees This ruined what would have been a good stay."

The property is a cat sanctuary as well, though they all remain outside and are extremely friendly! We woke up to the sounds of bells on goats/cows every morning roaming in the mountains. "This very cute, clean and charming hotel was located in a perfect place in the Douro Wine region. We chose it because we were visiting wineries. If you are looking for a view of the river, this hotel does not offer that. The proximity to the river is very close and there are many restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was delightful. We were very happy with our experience!"
