BEWARE: This hotel is extremely dishonest!! I was asked to give credit card guarantee during checkin, like many other hotels. But the amount was £265, equivalent to one night room charge. But the room had been fully paid thru hotel.com long before the checkin. And the money was immediately removed from my credit card. When asked why it was not a holding guarantee, the front desk staff said the amount would be reimbursed after checkout if no damage done and no mini bar used. This was not true. Nothing happened. When I tried to contact the hotel thru hotel.com hotel message channel or email 1 week later, all messages were ignored. I asked the credit card company to intervene 2 weeks later, I then received the hotel reply that it was hotel.com which failed to reimburse me. I told the hotel this was ridiculous, and would take legal action if the hotel continued to lie. Then the hotel agreed to reimburse me minus £20 for a “dog charge”. I did not bring along any dog. Why a dog charge? No one should use this hotel. It should be blacklisted by all hotel booking sites.
