This hotel is great, clean well located, good staff (particularly Juan) however, my stay was really poor
There was a wedding on when I arrived at 5pm after a long day of travelling; my room was directly on the courtyard where the wedding and very loud music were playing, and I couldn’t open my windows as people were essentially on my balcony. I was told this would end at 8pm when they would move upstairs (which it did not).
There was no access to the rooftop bar nor the restaurant due to the wedding. I was told I could order room service however, when I tried, I was told the kitchen was closed due to the wedding.
I therefore had to leave the hotel to get food and drink, returning at 8pm with the hope of getting into bed but the party was still going on, not stopping until around 2am - I’m not a complainer but I found this all really disappointing (particularly as I was so tired!)
The next morning breakfast was fine, and the hotel looked nice when I walked around it briefly, but my view is if there is a private event that takes over the entire hotel and impacts guest experience to the degree this impacted mine, the hotel should make you aware ahead of arrival and offer a refund if you opt to cancel (which I did not have the luxury of, but would have 100% have done had I have been able offered) - this hotel is not big enough to host a wedding without it being majorly impactful to other guests.
