The bathroom always seem to be flooded because the shower is right across so you don’t know if you are stepping in pie or water from the showers. "The hotel was in Pelourinho area. We were able to walk around and see the touristic sites all around. Rooms were clean and quiet. We had an upgrade from the owner which was very nice. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. Breakfast included fruits, juices, omelettes. People in the reception were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return. "

However you should really, really, really invest on purchasing mattress sheets with the elastic bands the grab the mattress. What is up with using regular sheets on the mattress?? "I am giving 1 star because the employees of the hotel are kind. As soon as we entered the room there was a dead cockroach on top of the sink. The television did not work at all in the first room and the smell in the hall if you have any type of allergy, do not go. On the second day I went to complain and on our way down the elevator stopped. We talked to the receptionist and she moved us to a different room. The tv in the new room worked, but there was a cockroach running around the room (also caught on video!) and when my daughter took a shower the entire bathroom flooded. We had to ask someone to fix it. It was the first shower in the "new"bathroom. The next day they closed the swimming pool with no previous notice. I am not even going to talk about the food. Very bad food. Not even the French fries. You can see the oil is old. One of the highlights of hotels in Brazil are the breakfast, not in this hotel. No fresh fruits, very low variety of options. I am very glad that we left when we did. A horrible, horrible, experience."

"The most sofisticated hotel of Salvador for sure, we love the experience of being served that appreciates theyr job, people serving in all details. The personal from the breakfast needed to be promoted, they were so gentle and efficient. We’re coming back for sure .

"This Pousada is located in a nice well lit area that is steps away from restaurants, police station, bank and churches. Lots of other things like museums, more restaurants, cable cars etc are also walk away. The Pousada itself is small and cute with about less then 10 rooms, therefore, you get a more personalized service. It has breakfast available everyday for a very small fee and it is delivered to your room. Reagan one of the managers and Sandra one of the other staff members were absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly and always made sure to give us everything we needed. I would recommend this Pousada!"
"AC was leaking all over the wall and the floor. They sent someone to fix it but it was leaking during my whole stay. They did offer to change my room but I was already settled in and said no.
They did make the bed and change the towels every day. Breakfast was lackluster but included with the stay.
Other guests were extremely noisy when walking up and down the stairs, especially the kids who were vocally loud as well while running up and down the stairs. "
