"This is an affordable, basic accommodation near the public pier that met all my family's needs. Manager was on site and quick to respond. Room is spacious with microwave, mini fridge, single serve coffee maker, electric skillet and griddle. Queen beds were comfortable and the air conditioning kept us cool. It has a view from one window of the water and a couple of small sitting areas outside with chairs provided to enjoy the view. Park right at the door for easy loading and unloading. We enjoyed...

"Clean and spacious but the AC/Heater is much less than adequate. It is only 50° outside but the heater cannot keep up. There were no extra blankets or linens for the futon and only two bath towels and two hand towels for 5 people. Also would recommend a closet with a bar for hanging clothes hangers. "

"I lived in Port Lavaca for 30 years and had to come back to help a family member. All my years living there I never thought I would be staying in what was the old Viking Inn. The new owners have really fixed up this place. Room was super clean and staff were so friendly. Don't expect a lot for this price but do expect a very nice and simple but very clean room and facility. I love small boutique type roadside hotels and this is one. "
