8.4/10 Very Good! (1,005 reviews)
I’m sure this was a nice resort at one time, but it’s in rough shape. The zero entry pool is nice and the poolside servers were great, and the gelato place was good. That’s about all I can say. Negatives are numerous and as follows:
-At check in, there was a DJ in the main lobby blaring music so loud I couldn’t hear the check in attendant.
-We were told luggage carts were only for use by valet staff. We were not even permitted to unload in front of the hotel. This was particularly tough on my elderly parents.
-3% credit card fee is a joke and completely outside the norm for a resort
-We drove around every night trying to find a parking space because golf carts were taking up spaces.
-at check out, they could not provide an itemized printed bill because of an “audit.” They were supposed to email one but we’ve yet to see it.
-The putting course is in horrible shape. Much of the turf is worn away.
-Hallways were pretty beat up and in need of a paint job.
-The second floor is atrium has signs all around forbidding guests from sitting in the chairs. Signs indicated the area was only for owners, but we never saw a single person sitting there.
-Being on the second floor, our ocean view room was really more of a pool view. We could see a tiny sliver of ocean.
Bottom line, this place was probably amazing in its heyday, but it’s not been maintained and feels like the owners are just milking it now.
