"very clean and comfortable for the price, bathroom very nice, only complaint is there was no central heating so did get quite cold, but overall a pleasant stay."
"Booked it same day, the room was on the 4th floor and as it was during the heatwave, was a bit warm, they did provide us with couple of fans that helped. It was a lovely room with a sofa, TV and vanity table. A nice view of trees and sunset. It was clean everywhere. "
"Lovely studio, but 2 things to address:
1 - the shower is not powerful when the heat is turned up.
2- The bed is 2 singles joined together, it's on wheels, any movement and the bed just slides across the floor, maybe change the wheels to locking wheels, simple fix
But I'd definitely stay again, lovely little studio."
"Excellent hotel in the centre of brecon. While the free parking was often full the nearby paid car parks were very reasonable (4 gbp) . Lovely hosts and delicious breakfasts. "
"Lovely hotel the staff are very pleasant and helpful, car parking at rear is a little tight to get into as the entrance st the side of the hotel is quite narrow, the rooms are very cosy and quiet would definitely stay here again."
"Beautiful location. Hosts were gracious and shared helpful information about local attractions as well as fascinating perspective on local culture, language and history which was much appreciated by these first time visitors from the USA."

"Excellent for the price. Full breakfast included. Pool and hot tub included. Free parking. It was very clean but a little worn around the edges and closer to the road than I would have thought but overall I'd definitely come back. Hot tub was great after hiking all day. Area is exceptionally beautiful. We liked the small town of Llandovery if you're looking for a cute place to eat. Staff was lovely. Bar and restaurant on site."
"Beautifully clean and appointed, if a little over the top with nick nacks on every available surface. Make absolutely sure you have the door entry code and wifi code before you arrive - there's no mobile signal at all there and we had some stressful moments trying to gain entry in the late afternoon. Wifi pretty much only works in the living room, where it mainly powers the very unusual streaming TV setup. Coffee machine takes some figuring out. Lovely walks nearby, through the old burial ground and up to the reservoir. All in all it was better than we expected although an extra c.20% for a cleaning fee seemed excessive. Drive carefully on the way there, winding narrow roads."
"Nice clean large room. The fridge was a big bonus. Excellent shower which was much appreciated after a long day walking.
We were led to believe from the hotel.com web site that there is Wifi only in public areas but in fact there was wifi all over the the guest house including the rooms. And it was super fast wifi. I was able watched Netflix on my ipad and all the football matches I wanted to watch.
Moyra (the owner), is a lovely friendly lady, as her staff. Breakfast was fabulous, continental and cooked what ever you choose or both.
We will definitely come back as we have few more walks to complete in the area.
Thank you Moyra for a lovley weekend.
Haim & Helen"
"The stay was perfect, the house itself isn’t in walking distance of any shops however it is only a 10 minute drive to ASDA. It has everything you could want, including an outdoor sauna, and jacuzzi. Only downside is there is no locks on any of the bathrooms. Tried to arrange late checkout a few times, weeks before the trip however host did not respond. "
"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "
