(4,596 reviews) This resort was too big for my personal preference. I felt like I was in Las Vegas. The nice part, but still. For those who love options, it is probably great. EVERYTHING is very, very expensive. Not all things advertised as "included" were available. For instance, they would not allow us to rent paddleboards... not sure why. The staff only allowed a few kayaks at a time, so our group mostly opted not to wait. The "hammocks", which looked fun - also not available to us. The beach was pretty packed, cannot IMAGINE Spring Break or a busier time. The water is as beautiful as pictured & the staff was very friendly. The room(s) were nice, feel new, clean. Had to call for room service as they missed one of our rooms 2 days in a row - but may have been our fault for occupying the room at the wrong time? In general - too expensive to really enjoy things. There are more hidden fees than I expected. And as far as food goes, mostly ok. COSTA has delicious food, mediocre service. Huge, impressive resort, but I won't be back - just not my style. (2,034 reviews) I recently stayed at the British Colonial Nassau. The hotel is located right beside the cruise ship docks, and from the back of the property there is beach access — however, you’ll still see the cruise ships from there. Keep in mind that this area is very busy during the daytime because of the cruises (there were about four docking daily during our stay). At night, though, the area becomes very quiet and most places close early. Breakfast at the hotel is $40 per person, which feels quite expensive. Thankfully, there’s a McDonald's directly across the street (go early because it gets very busy), and Olde Nassau Café nearby offers a great breakfast and coconut rum pound cake for local Bahamian breakfast there Bohemian cooking restaurant definitely a better choice and more authentic option. For dinner, options are limited at night, but Ibichan Restaurant is open until 9:00 PM and offers decent food at reasonable prices. If you book through Expedia or similar third-party websites, be aware of additional costs: there is a resort fee of about $49 USD per day, and parking costs around $35 USD per day. The rooms were decent. The sheets were comfortable, though the mattress was a bit too soft for my liking but for a short stay, it was fine. They use feather pillows, so keep that in mind if you have allergies. The AC worked well, which is important in Nassau. The staff were nice and friendly.
