We also loved the terrace as well as Maria, who assisted us with the check in. We rented the loft unit, on the top floor, but was able to hear dogs barking from two units down early morning and also late at night, which made our stay not as relaxing as we had hoped. We found most of the noise to be within the building rather than from outside. Unit looked cool, but we did find that it needed some updating. Shower area wasn’t sealed well, so we would have to wipe up the floor after using. Maria greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our room/apartment. Everything was clean and stocked with everything we would need. We enjoyed the balcony and were happy to be able to do laundry. The location was perfect. We could easily (well, easy considering the hills!) walk to Ribeira, Villa Nova de Gaia, and into the center of town for sightseeing and great restaurants.
