Just fresh out of the Peruvian Amazon the air in Quito was a chilly 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Upon check in the windows in the room were open and the room freezing cold. There was no heating system but there was a nice wooly blanket in the closet. The Expedia ad showed some interesting rooms with a cultural flavor. The actual rooms are older more run now and poorly made. The neighborhood looked a little rough but after exploring a bit it is not bad. We stayed at Inca Imperial twice for two days and had some of our luggage stored while away for a week. The breakfast was fine, the room on the 5th. floor was clean and bright. Was too far from the airport. The room was very old nut clean. What is there to say? The first thing that hits you is that the pictures on the ad don't match with what you actually stay in. The rooms are much worse than shown in the ads. The area was OK for Quito. Breakfast consists on one waitress slowly attending to the entire dining room. But the worse was having someone steal things out of my mother in law"s luggage.
