The Rosario is the cleanest, and probably poshest, "hostel" I've ever stayed in. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Front desk and housekeeping services were excellent. The facility manager attended to every concern, and whenever I had to wait for a cab or Uber he would wait with me to make sure all was safe and appropriate. Rosario's location is in "Old Quito" which means probably you shouldn't venture out alone at night (which as a solo female I don't do regardless of location). However, Old Quito is where you want to be. That's where the museums, cathedrals, small shops, and most importantly - the best little coffee shops - are located. Uber and taxis are super cheap if you want to go uptown to "New Quito", and the buses are only $.25. If I am lucky enough to return to Ecuador, I will absolutely be staying again at the Rosario.
