Cozy Log Cabin in the Woods

The Cozy Cabin in the Woods is a private wooded property with access to a small natural shoreline lake approximately 150 -200 yards from the cabin. Two trails lead to the lake from the backyard. Guests are welcome to put in a canoe, kayak, or fish off the dock.

The cabin is a short distance from Lake Alexander (which has a public boat launch) and about 30 miles from the Brainerd Lakes area for those looking to go water skiing, tubing, or fishing.

There is a fire pit in the backyard for guests to enjoy. We do not always provide firewood. However, as mother nature provides fallen trees, we try to stack wood near the tree line for guests to use. Guests are welcome to bring their own wood.

The property has a spacious driveway for multiple parking vehicles. At this time, the garage is not available for guests to use.

There are miles of ATV trails that can be accessed right from the property. The area also has groomed snowmobile trails.

Randall is the closest town (~5 miles). There is a grocery store, a couple of bars, and restaurants.
Little Falls (~ 11 miles) has shopping, a zoo, and several excellent places to eat.
Brainard (~33 miles) has go-carts, mini-golf, water parks, shopping, a movie theater, and restaurants.

There are on-site security cameras. Cameras are present for guests' safety and allow owners to monitor property when not occupied. No cameras are located or pointed inside the cabin.

Lots of small gravel roads/trails just out of the driveway. Close location to nearby towns to catch a drink, supper. Cabin was cozy. Nice fire pit area. Only issue was that it rained during our trip for a short while and tried to reach the host for access to the garage which had a pool table and response was we could have access but then it wasn’t sent. Otherwise no complaints! We all had a great time. Clean up directions were easy!

Perfect Family Getaway
The cabin was everything we could've dreamed of and more. It was so cozy, clean, and in the perfect location. There were plenty of rooms for all our family members, plenty of yard to play in, and that views were so relaxing. To top it all off, the owners are amazing & we're super easy to connect with whenever I had any questions. We loved it so much, we are hoping to come back again soon! If you're looking for the perfect family getaway, book this cabin now. I promise you won't regret it!

We booked this cabin for 13 people (4 families) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin was super cute and even though there are cabins/ houses around the property you still feel somewhat isolated - exactly what we were looking for. The communication with the hosts was excellent and they were very responsive. Would recommend this place!

We found the property to be perfect for small grandchildren. It was far enough away from the lake so they were safe. Lots of room indoors and on deck. Allowed us to escape the crowds after great days of exploring. We made use of the gas grill that was provided and the fire pit.

My family gathered for a reunion and 4th of July celebration. My husband, myself, our three teens and two doggos. Beautiful home on amazing property. We had a wonderful time and fast communication from Ashley during our stay. Even with neighbors camping closely it was a very quiet stay. Randall is a cute town. We were able to visit Whipple Beach and rent a pontoon on Lake Alexander with the dogs. We had an incredible visit that all teenagers and dogs enjoyed together. Highly recommend this beautiful place for any type of family time away :) Thank you Ashley!!!!

The cabin was everything we were hoping for! The view of the lake was incredible with the sun peeking through the snow covered trees, the cabin was clean, large enough for multiple generations to stay together, and there was a close eye on details and quality amenities. We appreciated the plentiful blankets, towels, and the well-stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Overall, we were incredibly impressed by the cabin and property and it was perfect for what we needed for the weekend. Ashley was responsive, flexible, and a great host. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had a great time at this property! Ashley (the hostess) was super responsive and helpful in meeting all of our needs - including giving us access to the grill in the winter. The cabin is beautiful and has everything we needed, including board games and a fully stocked kitchen . The only small thing we looked for but didn’t find was a card table to set up some extra games and eating space for our large group. But it wasn’ta huge deal at all! It wasn’t listed that the cabin had one, so we weren’t necessarily expecting there to be one. Just one very minor detail that guests might find useful to have in the future. Not a big deal at all though! It was a great stay!

Amazing spot for a chill bachelor party

My wife and I 77 and 75 yrs old. Two BIL and wives and SIL -all close to 70 Property was in excellent shape 5 Bedrooms all with alot of room. All property clean and stocked Good water and facilities. Large deck in back over see a lake 200 yards down hill. Coffee on deck each morning listeng to Loons and swans trumpting. Would defintely go back to this vacation home again. Loved every minute

Pros....The cabin was really nice ran into a few snags but Ashley compensated for it.....cons....started with didn't get full rules til night before they have video/voice recording upon arrival and departure not sure why the voice recording and I felt like I was being watched all the time and then the lawman came on Monday to mow lawn I feel that should be done after one party checks out and before next party checks in thats my rental time and the neighbors lards on the road in is not eye pleasing also I thought lake was closer to property pics were updated a few weeks before going and you couldn't do much with the lake...couldn't swim to many Lily pads....like I say beautiful cabin but wasn't what I was expecting just glad to be home.

Beautiful property with everything you need. It was a nice weekend getaway. There was a steep hill to get to the lake access, especially slippery with the rain over the weekend however there is another (little bit longer) trail that was a perfect walk down to the dock. This was a beautiful property, I wish access to the lake was a bit easier. I did not realize when renting it the lake was down two very steep inclines. The owner was great and communicated very well with us. I would stay again for sure!

Self check-in was easy. House was nice and clean but living rooms were smaller than the pictures. Area was not the best but not the worst. Lots of spider webs and cups were dusty which made it feel like the place hasn’t been cleaned or occupied for a while. A/C stopped working during our hottest day there. Check-out requires too much time.

The cabin had plenty of space, bedrooms & fine details. We appreciated the crib, sippy cups, and nightlights which made this very kid friendly. The house was very clean and the owner responded to messages immediately! Highly recommend packing bug spray as the mosquitos were THICK and we had a black bear visit the garbage bins overnight! Otherwise made for a great place to stay and short commute to a the Barn at Stoney Hills for a wedding!
