When you've covered all the well-known places in Parklands, there's plenty more to see in the surrounding area. Collect the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and hit the open road. These are some drives we know you'll love:

• You'll find Lake Nakuru National Park and many other interesting sights in Nakuru. From Parklands, it's around 85 miles away.
• Next stop? It has to be Nyeri, which is around 60 miles away. Nyeri Golf Course is one local draw card you won't want to miss.
• Tsavo East National Park is located 150 miles from Parklands and is one of the region's most beautiful nature spots. Go for a walk around and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Kenya, then you might need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. Please also consider that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:
