Car Rental Pongsan-dong

When you've been to all of the well-known attractions in Pongsan-dong, there's plenty more to see in the surrounding area. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get out there. We've pulled together some drives you're sure to love:

• Make your way to Jeonju for an excellent sightseeing experience. Roughly 120 miles from Pongsan-dong, it's home to tons of inspiring sights such as Jeonju Hanok Village.
• Your next pit stop? Consider Gangneung, which is around 95 miles away. Jeongdongjin Beach is one local hot spot you shouldn't miss.
• Venture into nature and breathe in some fresh air at Gwangalli Beach. It's approximately 200 miles from Pongsan-dong.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in South Korea, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be at least 25 in many countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before driving away. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
