There are many exciting adventures to be had in Tropical, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Grab a set of wheels and you can explore the greater area at your leisure. Add these fantastic places to your list:

• Make tracks to Ouro Preto for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Around 50 miles from Tropical, it's home to tons of amazing attractions like Tiradentes Square.
• Your next pit stop? Consider Divinopolis, which is around 55 miles away. Shopping Pátio Divinópolis is one local hot spot you won't want to miss.
• Make tracks to Icarai Beach for a day out in nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just sit and unwind. From Tropical, it's 220 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Brazil, then you might need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. A few other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
