Car Rental Zoo

There's so much to do in Zoo, but head farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Pick up a set of wheels and you can meander around the surrounding region at your own pace. Add these awesome places to your travel schedule:

• Bremen is about 65 miles from Zoo. Renowned sights like Weser Stadium deserve a place on your must-see list here.
• Roughly 80 miles away, Hamburg is also popular with wanderers. Be sure to take in Hagenbeck Zoo while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love this city.
• Warnemunde Beach is located 160 miles from Zoo and is one of the region's most gorgeous nature spots. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Germany, then you may need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in many countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to what kinds of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or go off-roading with your rental car.
