First there clearly were 4 paintings on the wall but now only three and one hook in the wall. Then we checked the bathroom and some of the towels were dirty from the previous people. It had clearly not been cleaned from before. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned the next day. The toilet seat was wobbly and the button to flush it was dodgy and the toilet kept constantly flushing until you wiggled the button to stop it. The sink plug did not work and despite 3 requests to fix it and someone coming to look. It never got fixed so we spent the whole holiday without a plug in the sink. in the room there are no drawers. 2 side tables but no drawers to put socks and underwear away. We ended up using the wardrobe which was not ideal. Last of all and worst of all, no kettle or tea making facilities. I know we are in Rome and every drinks espresso but I like a tea and it is a hotel for tourists. It would have been nice to have a kettle and some cups. On the plus side they provided loads of toiletries, including sachets of bathroom for our room which only had a shower. Its right nex to the Spanish Steps, it located conveniently between two metro stations so you can easily take the train from Roma Termini to the Spagna or other station. Its an 8 minute walk to Trevi Fountain. I felt safe walking around. Room was spacious and had a balcony where you could see the Spanish steps, breakfast was great. Was on a very busy road but this did not disturb sleep. Reception staff were really helpful.
