Cozy Cabin in the Woods
We stayed here during a family member’s wedding weekend at the event center down the road. It was the perfect place for us to be in the mix, but able to have our own space too. The cabin had everything we needed and we really enjoyed the outdoor sitting areas. Definitely a great spot for a quiet escape!

Wonderful stay, wonderful host
We came for a family long weekend. Ended up snowed in for an extra day. The cabin and property are everything listed and beautiful. The host is the most gracious and helpful host we have ever experienced. He was so helpful with the snow, came and brought sleds for the kids to enjoy. It was a +5 experience. We will most definitely be back and recommend highly.

Family trip
We enjoyed how peaceful, private, and dog friendly the property was. However, unfortunately, by the third day my husband was covered in dozens of bug bites that went him from his shoulders to his toes (three weeks later his ankles and legs are still covered in scabs). Despite following the signs, we never had luck finding the dock with the kayaks and canoes either. Overall, the cabin itself was a great size and had the amenities we needed for a family of three with lots of space to explore.

Glorious weekend!
We stayed in the cabin for an event at the lodge and that cabin was the most perfect escape from the madness that comes with large weddings. A cup of coffee on that balcony in the mornings and a quiet moment star gazing at night were exactly what we needed. Also, the bed is so comfy!! Also also, this is the most well equipped STR kitchen I have ever seen. I was most definitely impressed.

Excellent Return Stay
We came for the first time last June (2022) and enjoyed our visit so much we came back again for our vacation this June 2023. This is a nice, well kept property. It is just the right size for a couple with 1-2 dogs. We brought our dog Maggie and she loves it here! Maggie is a 70 pound Husky Shepherd. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need for a week's stay if you plan to do your own cooking. There is a nice grill and fire pit with wood we used some evenings as well. Located on a lake, we went swimming down in the swimming area some evenings, and I took a kayak out on the lake as well. Excellent fast communication with property owner/manager (who is on site, which is big plus).

Perfect getaway spot
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Everything was in perfect order and every little detail considered. For me and my dog, it was the last stop on a 2-week cross country road trip and we both had the most relaxing and lovely time. Highly recommend everything about Robbie’s setup and hope to be back for a future visit. Beautiful area right on lake; while it is a bit of a drive to some of the area’s best hiking spots it is a beautiful drive so we didn’t mind.

GREAT place to stay , some notes about driving.
My partner and I stayed here over Halloween weekend and had a really great time relaxing in the woods. The cabin was gorgeous on the inside and out, and the back patio overlooking the woods and lake was the perfect place for morning coffee. You will have all the cooking supplies and firewood you need to enjoy the kitchen and the fire pit. There are two other cabins that are far enough away to make your stay still feel very private and secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. The only surprise was that there was a sign saying not to put toilet paper in the toilet. This was not a big deal for us, as plumbing in remote areas is not always as robust as in other areas so it was not entirely unexpected. The owner, Robbie was very very nice and responsive the whole time—and we asked a LOT of questions. There is plenty of equipment to enjoy the lake too, kayaks, peddle boats, life jackets, etc. The Ozark mountains are gorgeous and there is plenty of hiking in the area. We highly recommend Glory Hole Falls, which is a bit of a drive away, but so worth it. All the roads through the forest are a joy to drive anyway. Some notes about getting there and driving around: The property is at the top of a very steep gravely dirt road and when we arrived it had been raining in sheets so it was also a little muddy and pretty uneven in some places. We drove a KIA Soul, and while it made it up in the rain, I did white knuckle it the whole way. If you have the option for 4-wheel drive, do take that vehicle. If not, once you make it up to the top there is the opportunity to rent a Jeep. I wish we had used that option! Our KIA ended up being fine but I felt a little nervous sometimes. There is a path down to a dock on the lake that is extremely extremely steep and gravely. I would not recommend attempting to drive this path in something other than an ATV or well-tired Jeep or similar. We chose to walk down the path and it was the biggest work out of all the hikes we took on the way back up. Well worth it to watch the sun on the lake though. To close out, this property made me wish we had dogs. If you have dogs they will have so much fun running around on the trails or just hanging out around the fire with you. If you have outdoor dogs there is a really roomy raised bed cage to keep them safe from any bigger animals at night. It looks like a giant bird cage. Please take your dogs here!

The perfect weekend getaway
This cabin was everything we were looking for when planning a quick weekend getaway. It is modern but has that “rustic” cabin feel as well. So beautiful and everything we needed was inside the cabin- even the steak seasonings!! The owner, Robbie, was super helpful and was prompt to answer any questions we had. We enjoyed fishing, grilling and relaxing on the back patio. Our dogs had a great time as well. We would love to come back in the fall or winter!

Upscale Cabin!
We were quite impressed and delighted by the design of the cabin--modern, yet rustic, with just the right touch of a little edge. It had everything, and more, that we needed. We didn't have to unpack a lot of the stuff we brought with us because Robbie had already thought about it. We enjoyed a lot of time on the balcony overlooking a beautiful forest with amazing Arkansas rock formations--cool in the mornings and lovely, no matter the time of day. Robbie was a superb host----friendly and hospitable. He gave us a tour of the property, offered us use of his private pond for fishing, and even brought us fresh home-grown tomatoes from his garden! He also gave us wonderful suggestions for some sightseeing. We had a most enjoyable and relaxing week!

One of the few 5 star ratings I’ve ever given to a rental
I’ll start by saying I’m not typically a 5 star review person. (Or a 1 star!). I’m a 2-4 star reviewer. So if you see a 5 star review from me, trust that you have found a good thing. This cabin is a good thing. You want to come here, and so does your dog(s). But not too often, I want to have it available to return to. The cabin is fairly new, and well built (which we all know is not the norm for new builds anymore). It was well cleaned on arrival. The pictures you see in the profile are, in fact, accurate representations of the property. It’s a nice size cabin for 1-2 adults with with 1-2 dogs. We brought one, our 8 year old 70 pound husky-shepherd. She has been pouting since we returned and wants to go back. This place not only allows dogs, they love dogs. There are features to the property like an outside dog kennel (if needed), built with dogs in mind. It’s well stocked, and all we needed to buy at the grocery store was food to cook, and paper goods like toilet paper - (although they have enough there for a day or two on the paper goods). My experience is usually you need to pick up “extras” at rentals to actually cook or eat. Good selection of dishes, cookware, utensils- including to grill outside. The hosts were great. They communicated initially on booking, prior to arrival, and offered to take us around the larger property area on arrival. We took them up on it, and they did. Beautiful area, nice places to walk, and included a boat ramp with kayaks. Our dog wants to share that it was great sniffing, and she loved the ride in the jeep. We also met another person living there who runs a food truck for their event center. He was very friendly too, and we learned how all of the beautiful property set up came to be. It was quiet, and a very serene, relaxing environment: a must for me on vacation. I was much calmer leaving then arriving. Admittedly not happy to leave though. Besides the kayak ramp and kayaks, this cabin is right off a lake that you can swim in (you do need to drive-about a 5 minute drive). We went most evenings down to the swimming area, where I got my swimming in and our dog indulged in some water play. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle I recommend taking that as the actual cabin is up an unpaved road. My Suburu Outback is built for that stuff, (plus our dog likes to ride in it), so we brought that! I confess I now want to move to Arkansas, and maybe one day we will. For now, I hope to be back soon.

It freezing rain and sleet covered everything a few days before our arrival and Robbie made sure to clear the roads for us. He left a birthday treat in the fridge for my wife and when our checkout time came - he texted to let me know we could stay a couple hours longer if we wanted. Can’t wait to come back in the Summer to enjoy all the lake has to offer. Great stay

This property from the name, to the execution was thought out and perfect! Every detail from little shampoo bottles, seasonings, comfy beds and inviting spaces was a home run. We loved how the entire place is pet friendly and your dogs can go anywhere you go. There is 2 fire pits available , although we were keen on the outdoor steel fire pit outside of the gazebo. We laughed, hiked, played in the snow and truly loved every moment. This trip was to celebrate my birthday and celebrate life, and we couldn’t have chosen a better location. We will definitely be back. We are so blessed Roxy shared her ridge with us, it’s a true paradise!
