“I totally love this place. I had a private room with bathroom, and it contained everything I needed - safe, fridge, desk, and a really comfy bed.
Breakfast was great, staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and fun.
I found that it's the sort of place where you can be really sociable if you want that, but also just sit quietly and be alone.
There are hundreds of places to stay in La Fortuna, but when I return next year, I'll be booking La Choza again. The value for money is fantastic. ”

“Very impressed with this hostel! It didn’t even feel like a hostel since I had a private room. The gentlemen manning the reception area were all extremely pleasant and helpful. I love that they have a 24 hour reception desk and they’ll also store your luggage if you arrive early or have a late flight back out. They are located closer to the airport than San Jose, but there are a ton of shops and restaurants located within steps of the premises.
The hostel has an elevator and plenty of random……
