Very good location. Just a short walk to the market, Habour Mall, waterfront and the Thousand Steps. Centralized but quiet since the hotel is located right by the foot of a hill with lush vegetations. The hotel is quite old but clean. The mattress was a bit squeaky and not very comfortable as you can feel the metal springs inside. Staff are friendly. Will definitely stay again in future. Highly recommend for low budget travellers.

"The Sabah Hotel is a lovely hotel. Our twin room on the 6th floor was perfect with comfortable firm beds and was clean and spacious. Note: importantly the room has a fridge which is not all that common at other Sandakan hotels. The Buffet Breakfast was very good, especially the egg station and food ..."
