This was a nice house the rooms don’t quite match the listings which caused a bit of trouble but as soon as we got that taken care of everything went smooth and nice from the their the parking for multiple families is not very good but over all these was small things the beach is right down the road which was nice as well

Spring Break

This property is perfect for large groups. Really nice with a nice pool area for entertainment. The location was only a block away from the beach which was great since we didn't have to worry about parking. Our family enjoyed our time there.

Great Experience

We rented the commanders Palace for a week long stay with 35 family and friends. The home had plenty of space to support the group our size. Many of the rooms are multi sleep so as long as you have people willing to share a room this place is great for large groups. Parking was a little issue so make sure you have no more than 10 cars. Location was awesome and beach is walking distance. Our contact Ray during our stay was awesome- we had an issue with the grill and gas stove, this was identified late evening but he still responded and was there the next day to correct. Ray service alone would motivate me to book this place again

Two houses with a pool two blocks from the beach

The houses were laid out to offer lots of options for kids, families, teens. There were 29 of us and we were not crowded . Tasteful decorations. Easy walk to the beach and a fun local restaurant. Renting the golf cart was great for carrying beach stuff. Also, we were able to arrange for a bonfire on the beach one night. The only drawback is the kitchen range. It still works but not well. All in all I would highly recommend this listing for location and space and the really helpful local management!

Family vacation

We enjoyed our week with 37 family members . Property was great . Close to beach and pool area and seating was very accommodating. Golf cart was a game changer with taking items to beach . Ray was great and very helpful with any questions we had . Great memories made

Fabulous Property !

The property contact person was very responsive,, and this whole property was perfect for our family reunion. Two of our cousins already own houses in Santa Rosa Beach, so we only had to have 17 people staying in this rental. So, with 6 bedrooms in the main house, and 4 bedrooms in the carriage house - we had plenty of room to spread out. The pool was awesome! We paid to have it heated, and we're so glad that we did. It was so wonderful and relaxing to swim in. Plus, this house is sooo very close to the beach, that it's a just very short walk (past 4 maybe 5 houses) to the public beach access. The house also comes with a beach chairs -*AND*- a golf cart, which my sister (who has nerve damage in her foot) used to get to the beach. Most of our group preferred to walk to the beach every day, because it's just so close. And - It's an absolutely beautiful beach - best in the world, IMHO. The sand is incredible - very white, clean, and soft as power. Everything about this place is great, and we would not hesitate to rent this property again.

LOVED THIS HOUSE

This house was soo beautiful and way nicer than what we expected. The beds were super comfy and there was tons of space everywhere. We did our wedding reception in the back and it was PERFECT. I highly recommend staying here. The only complaint I have is that the trash cans were all half full when we got into the house so we weren't able to fit everything. But the maintenance crew was very quick at responding and very helpful with all of our questions! We want to book another stay here!!

Didn't live up to ad

There was left over trash on the property as well as left over food in the kitchen cabinet. Did kill some monster cocroches inside the house. The pool cleaning company needs to learn how to clean a pool. Both times he left bugs in the pool. We watched he barely skimmed the pool. The bottom was filthy. We saw a lot of rust and mold thruout the home. They also need to improve the lighting outside. You can't see the steps outside and my elderly mom fell. The house also needs to come with instructions about the house. Like how to use things. Also one dishwasher was out of order. The beach chairs and umbrellas are barely usable. No umbrellas around the pool area and dangerous rusted lawn furniture. They also need more large trashcan for inside the house you only get one.Plus trash bags would be nice. Over all thus house was not luxury like they described in the ad. I feel its overpriced. I also didn't like the next tenant showing up 2 days early wanting to see the house. Who does that? But I must say when I did call to complain about certain things they did make it right very fast.

Wedding Weekend

House is large and great for groups but needs a lot of work and upgrades. Dishwasher did not work and one of the stoves did not work. Made it a bit challenging for our group of 20+. Mngmt company was very responsive to our calls.

The pictures of the property are deceiving the rooms are small, the ceilings have mold and moisture mildew, and the water smells like sulfur coming from the drains.

Getaway Greatness

The Commanders Palace was a great place to stay! Perfect location for our large family and easy access to the beach. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and our contact during the week (maintenance contact) was wonderful. We had a few hiccups with the golf cart and front door lock and she was extremely quick to reply, sourced a new golf cart and put on new door lock. Very responsive with other house questions I had.

What a great venue!

50th birthday with 34 friends

Spent my 50th celebrating with friends. Everyone was able to fit comfortably, there was enough space to "get away" if you needed a break from the party.

Nice, but needs a little attention

The house and location are nice. Only a short walk to the beach. There are a few issues that need to be addressed. The air conditioning can only be turned down to 72. The hot tub water is only hot in the evening, so if you like to use the pool earlier in the day the hot tub water is cool. The photos show 10 chairs around the dining room table, but there were only 7 when we arrived. The couch in the living area has a very musty odor. Several pieces of bed linens had stains. One of the billiard balls was missing and the ques were broken.
