"The owner was very lovely and polite, he prep matcha tea for welcoming us also offering fresh bread making in the morning for our breakfast but my family were very tired from a long day travelling and activities we did in the area, we just want to sleep in so we had to miss out on that.
House was clean. The bath was the highlight for us. Just the tap in both toilets a bit hard to operate so we had to wash our hands in the bathroom instead."

"This property is high-end Japanese luxury with elegant yet simple/clean design - meant for a serene break from the noise & bustle of Kyoto, nestled in a lovely mountainous area. The room design is beautiful. The staff are so polite & attentive to all needs - the property manager is always present & a lovely gentleman- each time we would walk out of the property he would run out with water bottles in hand to make sure we carried hydration. We are seasoned travellers & never experienced this level of service. The evening dinners with set menus are Michelin star level dining experience with open wood oven watching the culinary preparations. Yes the dinner is a bit expensive but well worth it. All basic alcohol drinks are included. We did not try the special sauna experience but would suggest they include it in the daily cost of the hotel rather than extra. We are walkers/hikers - My only suggestions to the hotel is to create a walking map of areas near the hotel to walk & climb. 5 star experience would revisit again fir sure "
"I was very happy with the property, the only minor note is that I wish we had free water bottles daily like other hotels, though this is offset by the free drinks downstairs which I was happy about. Overall a great stay."
"Impecable room and service, but since I have food allergies, it was complicated, In Hiroshima at the Hilton hotel they did have options like gluten free soy sauce.
Considering the price for this luxurious hotel I think they should consider food allrgies on their menu."
"Very nicely appointed modern design and a great location near shopping areas and Sanjo subway and bus stops. We would have liked a room with a view of the city instead of the inside parking courtyard and more vegetable breakfast options for pure vegetarian/vegan folks. For non-veg folks the breakfast buffet was great. We did not have much staff interaction unlike at some of our other stays in Tokyo and Kawaguchiko. But whatever little interactions we had they were very positive. Will stay there again in future. But will ask for a room with better view. "
"This was such a cute little quaint hotel! The breakfast is the only thing I don’t think is worth it, especially considering it’s so close to many restaurants that you can just walk 10-12 minutes to the Nishiki market or the Terramachi market."
"Amazing! We got the garden room for 6 nights and it was the best choice ever, near to the train station, Nishiki Market, and lots of shopping places and restaurants, we did a lot of walking just so we could enjoy the view and the city. The river that is just a few blocks away can comec"
