From the harbour, you can take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to spot an array of birdlife, colonies of puffins and grey seals. The sandy Seahouses Beach is within 100 metres of your doorstep, where the coastal path leads north towards Bamburgh Castle (2.5 miles). Alternatively, head south to Beadnell Bay (3.5 miles), which is popular for water sports and beach picnics. Other local attractions include Dunstanburgh Castle, Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum, Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden, all within 16 miles.

From the lounge, double doors open out into the enclosed courtyard garden with a patio and ample outdoor furniture, offering a lovely spot for dining alfresco on sunny afternoons with the sound of the sea in the background.
