We loved our stay. A perfect little cottage and so cute. Such a great spot, very relaxing and beautiful surroundings.Host Max was just amazing too. Nothing was a problem and super friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully we will have an occasion to stay again too.

Great location and property (and pets)

Highly recommend staying at this beautiful semi-rural spot. Digby and Bailey (dogs) made our trip super homely - and the hosts are very generous with details like gum boots for exploring, books, and breakfast food.

Dogs, decent coffee, delightful hosts and damn fine stay.

Loved our stay. Max and Steve super friendly and helpful , wonderful fruit and really good coffee for breakfast. Loved meeting Digby and Bailey too, with added bonus of a garden and paddock wander, new chicks and bonkers Doug.

New fields cottage

A very nice cottage, very friendly hosts and a great place to stay with your dog. Cottage is very well equipped, warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was provided with home prepared fruit, cereals and spreads for toast. Would definitely come again.

We stopped here for one night after flying from New York to Christchurch. Peaceful and restful small-farm setting helped greatly with jet lag. The cottage was lovely and squeaky clean. Our hostess Max was friendly and cordial.

cute and convenient

lovely little cottage with everything that a couple could need for a getaway. The local pub was a bonus for some yummy cheap meals but with all of the fantastic facilities in the cottage, there is no need to go out if you don't want to. The special touches such as the home stewed plums for breakfast were lovely touch. would definitely recommend this spot to others.

Max and Steve made myself and dog, Blitz very welcome. Spacious rooms, comfy bed, fabulous all you could eat breakfast. Resident farm animals very interesting. Dogs are friendly. Thank you Max and Steve!

Beautiful countryside retreat. Great hosts. Our property greeters Bailey and Digby just the best. Bed super comfy, cottage had everything you needed . No sharing of facilities, self contained with beautiful free range eggs available. Hosts super welcoming. Sit outside and watch the stars. We will be back.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay in the lovely appartment. Max and Steve are super hosts!They are very respectful of the guests' privacy, open to questions and happy to share a chat with a good sense of humor. The garden is lovely to walk in or to sit and watch the animals and the surroundings. The dogs, Bailey and Digby, are great friends, well behaved, obedient and sociable. We were guests for three nights and would have liked to stay for a month.

Being an animal lover the pets were a wonderful addition to this property. Owner and pets could not have been more welcoming. The cottage is very well appointed with everything you might want and more. A very short drive from Christchurch but it feels like you've gone miles into the country - getting away from everything almost on your back door if you're a Christchurch person, and a wonderful break from the city if you're a visitor to Christchurch

Perfect for our needs but if you need good connectivity the wifi was delivering 2-6 Mbs and a sign said you probably needed to go outside for mobile access.
