"Uninhabitable conditions and unfulfilled refund — beware before bookingWhile the view and patio were beautiful, the rest of the experience was unacceptable. The villa had a constant and overwhelming smell of sewage throughout the stay. My two friends who were supposed to stay downstairs ended up booking another place because the odor was unbearable. Relocating the rest of our group wasn’t possible, so we had no choice but to stay. Every day we returned hoping it would improve, but it never did — we went to sleep and woke up to the smell of sewage.This wasn’t a minor inconvenience — it was a serious sanitation and health issue. A property of this caliber and price should never be rented out in this condition. What was supposed to be a special birthday weekend was largely ruined because of it.The host initially acknowledged the problem and agreed in writing to a 700 refund, but after I returned to the U.S., VRBO confirmed they have been unable to reach him despite multiple attempts. It’s now been nearly a month, and he has not responded to VRBO or honored his written commitment.I’m attaching screenshots of our messages, which clearly show his acknowledgment of the issue, his refund promise, and his later failure to follow through.VRBO has an obligation to protect its guests from unsafe or unhealthy properties like this. This listing should be removed immediately, and the refund I was promised should be issued"

"The hotel has outstanding architecture, beautiful interior design details, and was very clean. The staff were also wonderful! They picked us up from the parking area with a cool electric cart (as Perast is a no-car town), and they were so kind, welcoming, and helpful the whole time! In the evening, my partner realized she needed something from the store and there were only four minutes until it closed; she ran outside. At the reception, Sandra ran after her and insisted she hop into the shuttle cart; they made it just in time. My partner was so surprised and grateful that she went out of her way to help. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and it looked like it had been recently renovated. It was also lovely to have breakfast right by the water, in one of the nicest spots in Perast. One small detail I would recommend is to include complimentary water; this is something many hotels don't offer, but it makes a difference. And as Heritage Hotel Leon Coronato is so close to perfect, it might as well take the crown. "

"Great location right on bay of Kotor. Had a view of the Bay from our window which was absolutely beautiful and well worth extra money! Wide variety of restaurants and shops very easy walking distance. Parking was at ends of town & a little bit of a walk with luggage but on way back out to car, hotel offered a golf cart shuttle which made the transport with luggage easier. Breakfast on the water was fantastic. Nice selection & view could not be beat. Staff was friendly. Great property!"

"This is a delightful, comfortable, place to spend a vacation. The host responded quickly and met a couple of needs. The location and character of the home is wonderful and the view fabulous. The overwhelming traffic in this vacation mecca is terrible but this place provides parking and noise is not a problem. To walk down to the town you do need to be able to climb steps or walk a steep path through the growth of trees. There are many good restaurants and the town of Perast is a little gem."

"Very good location - close to Tivat airport and Kotor. The place has its own parking places, a supermarket, and a beach. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The bay water is very clean with rich aquatic life, and there are plenty of tasty mussels on each jetty. We recommend visiting The Rector's tavern in Gornji Stoliv, located just above the hotel. A very picturesque stone forest trail leads from the shore to Gornji Stoliv."
