We particularly enjoyed the gardens at RHS Harlow Carr, the Jorvik Viking Centre, Fountains Abbey and a walk along Wharfedale to Bolton Abbey. For history buffs a guided walk of the battlefield at Towton was fascinating."

"Ideally placed in the centre of Knaresborough, we were welcomed warmly. The room was lovely with a generous bathroom attached. Plenty of teabags, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and fresh milk was kept in a small fridge. The chocolate was a nice touch alongside the complementary biscuits. It was very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We will certainly visit again. "
