"What a find in a beautiful area. Short trip off the A1 and absolutely stunning pub with rooms. Rooms were great, comfortable clean and has everything you will need for a good stay. Dinner was really tasty. Didn’t stop for breakfast but can only imagine how nice it would be.
Would definitely recommend and would stay next time I am in the area "

"We enjoyed our stay but the property has large entrance steps and very steep stairs down to the bedrooms (disabled people and families with small children beware) "

"The room and amenities were of the highest standard. Proper Yorkshire charm and clearly a place for which the owner and staff are rightly proud. The breakfast is individually prepared, the ingredients are top notch, it is expertly cooked and presented. "

"Lovely hotel, the staff were all helpful and friendly. It's located in walking distance from the town and a bus ride to Harrogate. The breakfast and evening meals were very nice. "
"Despite a couple of minor issues the staff were apologetic and immediately came up with a solution that we were impressed with. The food is great! And the rooms are lovely (amazing showers)!! We live staying here and will be back."
Luxury self-catered cottage set in the heart of North Yorkshire
10/10 Excellent
"The property was warm and spacious. The bed was comfortable and there are 2 nice bathrooms. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. We would happily return. There is plenty to do locally. We particularly enjoyed the gardens at RHS Harlow Carr, the Jorvik Viking Centre, Fountains Abbey and a walk along Wharfedale to Bolton Abbey. For history buffs a guided walk of the battlefield at Towton was fascinating."

"Wonderful accommodation in a lovely village with a great pub within walking distance.Knarsborough is nearby with boat hire and walks along the river and Fountains Abbey national trust is definitely worth a day trip to."
"Ideally placed in the centre of Knaresborough, we were welcomed warmly. The room was lovely with a generous bathroom attached. Plenty of teabags, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and fresh milk was kept in a small fridge. The chocolate was a nice touch alongside the complementary biscuits. It was very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We will certainly visit again. "
