"Gorgeous little home, close to everything but in a quiet wooded area. Home is well-appointed (complete kitchen with small appliances; laundry; parking; elevated private deck in back; front porch to sit and watch the deer stroll by). Clean and well-laid out. "We spent ten minutes at the property, saw that it's no homestay and it's unfit for a family with children (broken window in ground floor anybody could climb in, 'zero tolerance for human trafficking' sign where somebody erased 'zero' with a marker, surveillance cameras all around..). Since then, we begged vrbo and owner to pay us back, even in part. No help. Our money, more than 2000, was practically stolen. "

"The place was not private. The owner was in the second bedroom. There was no blanket on the bed. It was minus 15 degrees Celsius outside. It’s Winnipeg!!! There were air freshener plug-ins in every room. It reeked chemical perfume. Why were they necessary? Mattress was grossly soiled. "

"Property was clean, modern, and well appointed. Central location, 5 min walk to grocery store, ~ 30 min walk to The Forks. Nice bistro nearby. On a busy street but noise wasn't bad. Only downside was the climb up 36 stairs to reach the unit! "

"Overall a really unpleasant experience. The unit that is pictured is not what was received. the host messaged me the day of check in to let me know he moved me to unit 1, not 2 as originally booked. I was fine with that, assuming it would be in the same shape as unit 2. It was not! It was not clean, it was unfinished, doors hanging on by 1 screw etc. Very misleading! "
