Welcome to Mountain Momma

This area is truly a great find very nice people very private residential area WITH families and we will expect you to drive and have fun accordingly if you can’t please keep looking.

Private cozy mountain top cabin minutes to the lake, marina, and battle run for swimming or a 10 or 15 minute walk to the lake you can park near access to lake and walk just 1300ft to water Summersville has some monster catfish!!
All brand new inside one king bed one queen bed one bathroom has log fireplace all new appliances all pots pan and expected kitchen items including Keurig.
All linens towels and washcloths provided.
Washer and dryer.
Outside has nice deck patio table gas grill outdoor space for hanging out including mini fridge and stereo with Bluetooth.
Fire pit with wood provided
Beautiful setting completely private tree house feel.
Perfect for romantic getaway small family guest count limited to 4.

Sorry but no pets.

There is no providers for traditional tv however there is internet and Netflix is provided or you can login to your preferred streaming service.

If your planning to bring a boat please ask about off site parking this house is on a dead end road.

This is residential area with children I expect you to drive like YOUR kids play here.

Please note the winter months in WV can be unpredictable an all wheel or 4 wheel drive is a must if there is snow on the ground.

AWESOME
We will definitely be coming back. Everything was perfect, and the owner is great. The outdoor setting was the highlight for us, the deck with table and chairs, and the outdoor bar with TV. It’s the last cabin on the road so it’s very secluded and quiet.

Perfect Weekend
My husband and I went for a quick weekend getaway. This was the perfect location. It is situated between Lake Summerville and the New River Gorge. This cabin is beautiful inside and quite comfortable. Plenty of firewood to enjoy an evening of s’mores😊. Very relaxing. Had a wonderful stay !!!

Perfect mountain hide away
It was my first visit to WV & this mountain cabin was the perfect setting. We were close enough to enjoy all the great outdoor activities - river rafting, lake paddle boarding, hiking. Then relax on the deck or by a fire at the end of the day on the top of the mountain.

Johnny's cabin was super clean as well as beautiful. He was easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly. The location is perfect for rafting trips, boating on Summersville Lake or hiking in the area. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Johnny

Anniversary getaway
This was our 40th anniversary getaway we had a great week, the cabin was great, quiet, very private. There is a lot to do in the area white water rafting, exploring, kayaking at Summerville lake, rock climbing, The bridge walk, ect..... this place is for outdoorsy people, the owner was great took care of everything that came up. Loved it

Updated, comfortable, clean, and close to everything!
We had such a great time! Everyone absolutely loved it. The cabin layout is great and super close to hiking and the New River bridge. Beds were amazing, amenities were great and kitchen is well-stocked. Wi-fi worked great for us (we had two people working remotely one full day). Everyone has already asked me to book another weekend in the summer so we can utilize the deck space.

Clean, convenient, easy to find.
The house was very clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable. Owner was responsive and checked in to make sure we arrived and were happy. The house does give a sense of privacy even though there are houses nearby. The only disappointment was that there is a significant amount of noise from trucks and cars on Route 19. Maybe in warmer weather it would not be so bad but in late December it detracted from the pleasures of being outside poking sticks in a fire. Obviously this is beyond the owner's control and may not be a concern for other renters. We do recommend driving 25 minutes to Babcock State Park to do the Skyline Trail...a five mile round trip hike through quiet, peaceful woods with wonderful views.

Spotless, all wood cabin in total isolation with a perfect deck to take in the outdoors. Only recommend a 4 wheel drive car to get to it as the gravel road is long and up a hill. Owner is very responsive.

Wonderful Getaway
This property was VERY VERY nice. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed and then some. The kitchen was set up so well and the bed was comfortable. I would not let the reviews regarding the road to the home deter you. Yes, it is a little steep, but you should have no trouble getting to it. The location is great for all the attractions in the area. You will not be disappointed if you choose this property.

Absolutely perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Everything was super clean (new really!). Host was very helpful and genuinely concerned about the quality of our stay. Love the outdoor patio/tiki bar... The perfect spot for couples or for old friends to get together and catch up! However, I WOULD NOT recommend taking a boat or any type of trailer there. Be sure and tell the host you are bringing a boat if you are, and he will give you information on off site parking. Also, may want to leave the Prius or the two wheel drive pick up at the house! The road to get to the property is sketchy (newly redone, just loose gravel that causes traction issues) and we had to use 4WD to get in and out. Overall, fantastic place and great host. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful accommodations we enjoyed our stay and have already booked a future stay at his other vacation rental. But I will say if traveling with a boat you may want to use his off site parking.
