I made a reservation to this hotel via Expedia and the room rate at the time of the reservation was $87/night. The images of the room showed a very clean, bright room with new vinyl flooring. Upon arrival, the room rate had been switched to $197/night. I didn't pre-pay for the room when I reserved it so there was nothing I could do about the price gouging. Upon entry to the room, there was an overwhelming odor of human urine. I'm a nurse, I know that smell. There was no overhead lighting so the room was extremely dim and the metal base on every lamp was RUSTED, and the carpet wasn't glued down or otherwise tucked at the edges of the room, it was just laying there. The sheets were thin and dingy and the mattress had body divots. We slept with the bedding pulled all the way back, with my own blanket. We slept, but barely. We got up in the morning to shower, but the shower wall had 2 gaping holes in the fiberglass where someone had ripped out the grab bar. Are guests expected to shower while water goes into the wall? So unsettling! Neither of us showered. We were going to stay 2 nights but couldn't stand the smell so I checked out with a $205 bill for one disgusting night, spent the day at the First Monday grounds, then decided to drive 3.5 hours back home even though we were totally exhausted. I just wanted to be home so I could scour myself & launder everything we took with us. I hadn't been to First Monday since the 90's and will not go back. Every vendor was SOOO overpriced.

Staff was nice. Room was a dump. Toilet seat was carved up and bathtub wall tiles were peeling or missing paint. Room smelled funny. TV remote missing battery door, no ironing board or iron in the room. Room and property generally looked worn down. But again, staff was nice.

Overall it was good, very friendly staff and a convenient location. Room felt clean which is the most important. The room could use some fixing up, bathroom door was falling apart. Overall we were happy and would stay here again.

Stayed there for trade days shopping. The owner or manager was very accommodating and very nice. Lobby was clean and coffee machine was awesome. The parking on the back side is a little cramped. Overall pleasant stay.
