Cabins accommodate 2-4 people, have twin & bunk beds, heat, electricity. A perfect stopover to hike & enjoy the night sky if passing thru to Yellowstone National Park. Bathrooms are in the Lodge, compost toilets at cabins. Authentic, remote, beautiful scenery, off the grid. Plan to arrive before dark. HorseWorks is an authentic, off the grid, remote, working horse and cattle ranch located off a gravel road between Yellowstone National Park/Cody and Thermopolis, WY. The rustic, cozy cabins have beds, an area rug, electricity and heat, no running water. Bathrooms (toilets & showers) are in the Lodge a short walk away. Guest access Guests have access to the cabins & the bathrooms in the Lodge (running water, showers, toilets). Hunters may ask about kitchen access. Guests are not allowed in the corrals or around the livestock. We offer a "Relaxing horse-bonding experience" on the evening of arrival or morning of departure of your cabin stay for a nominal fee. Other things to note This rustic, no-frills, off the grid, authentic working ranch is located 23 - 36 miles from the nearest towns on a well-maintained gravel road. For sky-watchers, our location is one of the darkest places in the USA for incredible stargazing! We may be difficult to find in the dark, so plan your daytime arrival accordingly. We are appropriate for a 1-2 night stay when passing through on the way to or from Yellowstone National Park, or for nearby sightseeing, but not as a base to see a wider geographic area. The facility is off the grid, meaning that we have solar powered electricity with beautiful scenery unmarred by electric or phone lines running into the ranch. Limited WIFI and WIFI calling are available at the Lodge only. No streaming or TV.
