The room and its fixtures were all brand new so while the building looks old with its ancient lift the rooms were very modern which was nice!! As a side note, The town is very sleepy so don’t expect much activity, hustle n bustle after 5 pm and Sundays most shops etc are closed.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with our 2 x kids on the fold out couch in the lounge area. Great value for money. Aaron Court Motel
There is a fridge, an oven, a microwave. It is dated as any 3 star motel, but clean. The linens and towels are super clean. Comfortable beds. Just great for a breaking the trip midway stay. We were in room 3.

The Bay Viaduct is in a great location for a stay in Timaru - close to Caroline Bay and the main shopping street.
