As the tallest building in the city, the Rhine Tower is the iconic skyscraper that stands out from Düsseldorf’s skyline. It is 791 feet (241 meters) tall, hovering over the scenic Rhine River. Ascend to the observation decks at various times of the day for the best views of the city and its river.
Gaze up at the structure, which functions as one of the world’s largest digital clocks. Ride the elevator up toward the tower’s summit. Dine at the restaurant in the sky, which rotates to vary the view while you eat. Have dessert and coffee in the afternoon.
Below the restaurant is the observation deck, from which you can see such highlights as the Altstadt, the Königsallee and several bridges of the Rhine River. The glass windows here are sloped to enable you to view the curve of the tower beneath your feet, generating a thrilling effect. Note how this tall landmark is reflected in the water below.

Note that the landmark is open for visits daily from morning until midnight. There is a fee to access the viewing deck get a discount by arriving early or late at night. A trip to the tower is also included in some tours of the city.
The Rhine Tower is on the southern bank of the Rhine River in the heart of Düsseldorf. Take the U-Bahn public transportation system to Graf-Adolf-Platz-U or ride the tram to the Stadttor stop.
