"Very clean. All staff was friendly and helpful. The gentleman that took care of the breakfast area was outstanding! All the food options were kept full and all surfaces continually wiped done. He definitely took pride in his job. If we go back next summer would stay there again."
"Staff is friendly and accmodating. Looking aroundvthe property. Loose floor tiles pealing paint and worn out funiture. Pool is closed and i was told game room has broken machines. A little effort may solve much of this if a person with basic property skills. I woulf consider stsying here again due to lower cost in this market."
"Property was new with nice lake life decor. Extremely clean, with all the essentials provided. Location is great if you're looking to explore the Squam Lake region. "
"The property was clean, roomy and comfortable. The only negatives where that the Roku's batteries were dead so we could not use the TV and the creamers were all bad so I had to drink black coffee but otherwise I would recommend this place. "

"Check-in instructions were a little confusing, email instructed us to go to office to retrieve keys. We arrived at the office and was told, we didn't need to go there and instead, email was sent to me with keyless entry information. It was a whirlwind day, we were tired so we went with the flow. We eventually made it to the home. We stayed here for PSU graduation weekend. It was only 5-7 min away from the school, local downtown eateries and shops. The house was spacious, each room had plenty of beds for my guests. I am not a fan of vrbo homes but it was needed to have my family together. Instructions were strict in regards to cleanliness and trash disposal. Due to fear of cleaning instuctions, we did not use the kitchen area and only used fridge to store items. It was raining the weekend we checked in, so i felt like we trekked in mud or water and wished we were given extra towels/cloths. Laundry room was convienient as we were traveling for a week and made use of this treat. Bathroom doors were sliding barn doors, not a fan but it is what it is. Saw several spiders throughtout the home, on beds and in-between the extra blankets provided. Livingroom/kitchen areas have large windows with no curtains or blinds. I felt exposed but maybe it's normal in this area. King bed has an iron frame, it made sounds everytime we turned or sat down. Parking was allowed inside garage. We saw some deer in the yard on one of the late nights, that was nice. I recommend this place for families."
"We had ideal weather, a wonderful view of the lake and caught about a 3lbs large mouth bass from the dock! We rented a pontoon boat to tour the lake with our son and girlfriend and enjoyed dinner at Walter’s Basin which was a short walk away(15 minutes).
Kyle was responsive to our needs, very friendly and accomodating. Hope to see you next year!"
"Thanks so much for hosting us! we have been coming to squam for 20+ years and never stayed at the boulders. The space was great for the price and right on the lake. We had no issues whatsoever and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a cabin type weekend by the water. "
"This is a perfect spot for a little beach vacation. The beach was large enough to accommodate everyone, but small enough to feel cute and intimate. I wasn't expecting free use of a variety of boats, which was an amazing perk. My kids explored kayaking and paddle boarding, and they loved the swim platform. The unit itself was clean and updated. It used to be three separate units, so therefore we had three full bathrooms for our 3-bedroom - which was probably a bit more than we needed but still came in very handy."
"Upon arrival, we were greeted to a welcoming wave and smile by Kyle the property manager. Kyle was wonderful to work with over the phone and took care of booking issues promptly. We truly enjoyed our stay in Holderness. The unit itself was very cute and adequate for our stay. However, we would like to have had some coffee on hand in the kitchen and perhaps some glass microwavable containers to use during our stay. The kitchen is very minimally stocked as far as cooking is concerned (minimal cooking utensils, and pots & pans). If you want a bottle of wine, remember to pack a corkscrew. In addition, you must bring your own bedsheets and towels (something we have never had to do at a vacation rental). That said, this is disclosed in advance and would not deter us from staying here again in the future. The lake is beautiful and you have free access to their Kayaks and Canoes; and you are very near the Science and Nature Center as well as Kirkwood Gardens. It's also a very short drive to Meredith and Moutlonborough. Overall, a really nice weekend stay at the Boulders. Thank you!"
"The only thing i was disappointed that going down to lake was impossible for me as i am handcaped i wish it was more accessible to me . If it was i wouls stay there next year too "
"Overall the outside area, the location and the lake itself were beyond beautiful. The apartment itself was quite shocking, compared to the pictures. The place was extremely old and dirty with trash under the beds, mouse poop in the corners of the bedroom , bathroom and in the kitchen by the trash can. The bathroom shower was almost unusable. It was so filthy, the door was so old, nasty and rusted the actual door didn't even shut. There was a 2 in gap ...Only thing we used it for was to rinse our feet. Couldn't leave the windows open in the living room because there were NO screens. The AC did work but we didn't want to use it ....
The coffee maker was broken, but we were able to make it work ...we had to bring our own lines which was probably a blessing because the bed itself had a cover on it that was stained and gross.
Overall, we had a blast because my friend and I can have fun anywhere. But for the cost of this place, I would have expected much more cleanliness, and proper photos to show what the place really looks like! They were very deceiving! Great outside space , the lake and backyard area of this place is beautiful. The owners did communicate well when I asked a question. Just be prepared for the inside. "
