Clean, nice, friendly staff. No complaints

A front receptionist was repeatedly rude to the customers she managed over the phone. She was argumentative and denigrated her customers on the phone….including me. She argued with how I made my reservation - a phone call to Hilton reservations- she stated was made through a third party. That sort of rudeness required a re-think of her people-facing role. She became frustrated, her voices was raised, argumentative and simply rude. Never should she have access to customers.

I have no complaints. The location is safe and clean. Breakfast was good. I have a son who will be attending Iowa State. I will stay here for future visits.

Check in was handled well, clerk was friendly and gave my dog a treat. Breakfast was very good, hotel seemed new and area was happening, with an outlet mall across the street and nice restaurants within walking distance.

Spacious suite with door between bedroom and living areas. On check-in, Parker explained our parking options (rapidly, with an obvious intent to suggest we pay for the $20/daily unlimited in-and-out hotel parking; with a statement that he didn't know the cost of parking on the street (it's $1.25/hour from 9 am to 9 pm; free overnight) and that the ramp across the way was $10/day with no in and out.
