BEAUTIFULLY REMODELED RECENTLY. This ONE OF A KIND waterfront beach house is perfect for couples and small families with a desire to spend time on one of the best beaches that Southern California has to offer - Faria Beach - with Mondo's Beach which is famous for our surfing. A winning combination of location, quality and price.

Our Beach House is on the sand is known by locals as the new Malibu, but without the traffic, pollution or crowds! Enjoy the 2 mile sandy beach which is rare for the area, as many of our beaches are rocky and offer very little sand. We are also centrally located 65 miles north of Los Angeles, 20 minutes south of Santa Barbara, 15 minutes from Montecito, 20 minutes from Ojai, and 10 minutes from Ventura and Carpinteria. This location is ideal for enjoying the best that each of these world famous destinations has to offer.

In addition to location, our home is not a typical "cottage" beach house. It's a high quality constructed beach house decorated with an eye for detail and beach life. A two story beach house offers amazing ocean view.

The large master suite is an experience in and of itself as it has magnificent views of the ocean which can be enjoyed in our luxurious king size bed, along side a roaring romantic fireplace or on the seaside balcony. The master bath offers a large walk in shower for two and 2 sinks/vanities.

The second bedroom offers a queen bed with accompanying full bathroom. The first floor offers an open floor plan with kitchen and dining table and chairs that flow into the cozy living room.

The living room has a fireplace, high definition 42” TV with doors that open onto the large ocean front patio. There are windows that traverse from the kitchen to the living room providing wonderful ocean views and the symphony of waves. On this floor there is a full bath. On this floor is also a washer and dryer.

The large ocean side deck has a Jacuzzi, table and chairs and two chaise lounges, with stairs that lead down from the seawall to the ocean/sand. Please see a picture of the stairs on the website. The drop from the top of the seawall to the sand ranges 10 to 15 feet. During high tide, and depending on the season, the water can splash against the seawall, which can make entry into the ocean from the stairs impossible. However, Mondo’s beach is several hundred yards to the north and it is sandy and accessible all year around.

The home also offers a single garage and driveway parking with easy access to Hwy 101 Santa Barbara, Carpentaria, Ventura or Los Angeles. The Beach House also has a roof top deck with stunning views.

The quintessential beach cottage
Our stay at the beach cottage was absolutely exquisite with a minor hiccup at the beginning of our stay. When we checked in, the cottage had not been cleaned up after the last guests, damp towels and linens on the floor, beds unmade and trash left in the wastebaskets. We called housekeeping, and they responded quickly. A team arrived within 30 minutes and throughly cleaned the house. Therefore a 4 for cleanliness was given. The rest of our stay was absolutely magical. The house is comfortable and cozy. While the living room and kitchen area are small, the primary bedroom suite is large and very comfortable with a fabulous balcony. It’s truly a full beach experience. There are 180 degree views of the ocean from the deck and windows. The Channel Islands are visible as well as boats and surfers. The ocean is literally steps away. If you are looking for being on the water’s edge this is the place. We enjoyed our 3 day visit and thank the host who shared this gem of a beach cottage. We hope to stay again in the future.

Now that’s a beach house!
This is a great beach house . It’s very well-maintained. Has great neighbors and the view is unbelievable. The master bedroom is amazing and the kitchen is well equipped for great cooking. We will definitely be coming back to this one. Paul Powers

Beautiful secluded spot on the water
We loved this home. The view is stunning, and I loved the difference depending on the tide. Smaller living room area but we didn’t care as it was just the two of us. The beds were a bit hard but still comfortable enough. We would stay again for sure. The only downside we experienced was the construction on PCH, shut down and we had to be escorted it took 20-30 min to go 4 miles. Not the fault of the owner:house. The deck was fabulous, our stay was quiet and lovely.

We have stayed at other properties on this because but this was by far the most unique. We loved the jacuzzi and the sun deck especially. The balcony off the upstairs bedroom was also amazing in the evenings. From the views to the wildlife to the easy beach access to what we consider our favorite beach, this place has it all. We loved our stay!

Lovely home on the water.
We came as an adult family of four. The home is in excellent condition, amply supplied and right on the water. Neighbors were super friendly and fun. Be aware that only 3-4 visitors are allowed due to circumstances outside the owners control. We are local and this made our trip less fun with out being able to have friends up and our kids friends. But we knew this going into it. Just something to note if you’re local. Overall, the contact with the owners representative was always punctual and pleasant and the home is very nice and convenient to the beach, Santa Barbara and Ventura. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Vacation
The house was better than the online photos depicted. Nice and cozy on the dreary days with the fireplace blazing and the sound of the crashing waves. Has all needed supplies and was well stocked. This house was exactly what we needed for a relaxing family getaway.

Perfect
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property. The view was amazing!!! The house was sooo CLEAN!!! You get an A+!! There was plenty of utensils, pots/pans, and dishes. The stairs are steep and for my mother in law, who is 85, she couldn’t do them but slept perfect downstairs on the couch. The Jacuzzi on the deck watching the waves is Heaven!! Thank you we will be back!!!

Wonderful Beach House
This property is located right on the water along the Faria Beach/Dulah coast of California. The waves literally break along the rear patio wall. The house is multiple stories with fantastic views on each one. The jacuzzi/spa is located on the back patio with a full view of the ocean. Amenities were good and the house was adequately stocked. We had a great time overall.

Very clean well-stocked house, but cramped downstairs (living room and kitchen)
Our check-in was seamless. The house was very clean. It was also very well-stocked with items like paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc. Unfortunately, for the majority of the week that we spent at the house, Southern California was hit with rainstorms, including cold weather and overcast skies. One of the primary reasons we selected this house was the beautiful decking and location on the beach. Because of the rain, we spent more time inside that we were planning, and the house became very cramped for family of 5, including 3 kids (13, 11, 9) the living room is essentially nonexistent, although we did see comments to that effect before arriving. It just became problematic because of the cold weather and rain. The final 2 days, we had sunshine and the kids were able to spend time out on the beach. On that note, at times, the tide comes all the way up to the wall at the edge of the decking, and there is no beach at the house to go on to, but when the tide is out, there is some access to the sand below the house.

Faria Beach getaway for the Ventura Marathon
The beach home was as described. Access was easy. There was off street parking and use of the garage if we wanted. The layout was nice, it had pretty cream colored wood grain patterned tile flowing throughout and the entire home is in beautiful condition and spectacular views. An easy stairway to get down to beach, at low tide. Beautifully maintained hot tub right on the deck overlooking the ocean and the Channel Islands in the distance. Wonderful sunsets too. A short drive down the PCH and about 2 miles on Hwy 101 takes you right in to Ventura on Main Street for shopping, restaurants, etc. Also easy connection to Hwy 33 to take you east into the mountains and up to Ojai. We've stayed in a lot of beach houses along the west coast including places like Pacific Grove, Rio Del Mar, Santa Cruz, Pebble Beach, Bodega Bay, Avila Beach, Morro Bay, Cayucos, etc. and on the Outer Banks and Emerald Isle, NC and this had to be one of the best as far as cooking and serving essentials (pots, pans, serving bowls, utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, place mats, dish towels, etc). We loved the two easy to light and operate gas fireplaces (one in the living room and one in the primary bedroom) and used them everyday as it was pretty cool and blustery though much of our stay. We were down here for our daughter to run the Ventura Marathon. We all enjoyed using the well maintained hot tub on the deck as well. We were informed the cleaner would be there to take care of it on a certain day and he showed up and did the work. My 12 yr old granddaughter loved this place so much, as we were loaded up and ready to leave, she went back into the house to say goodbye to it and she also went to the large sliding door to the deck to say good bye to the hot tub as well!

Paradise on the sand! Gorgeous.
Wow! What a paradise! We loved our stay in this beautiful clean beach house for the second time. The view of ocean was mesmerizing! Being right on the sand was such a treat. The birds and dolphins made our stay very special. The house itself was very clean and organized. You can cook in the kitchen while looking at the ocean. You wake up in the morning with the view and sound of ocean. It was just beautiful and calming :-) Loved having morning coffee in bed with the magnificent view and sound of ocean. The patio, deck and hot tub was amazing, helped to enjoy watching waves and sunset. The primary bedroom is HUGE with 180 degree ocean view. Also the location of this beach house makes it very accessible and easy to go to restaurants and market. We were 10 min away from Carpentaria and 20 min away from Santa Barbara! Was nice to be close to city to grab dinner! We had an amazing time here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy a calming vacation.

Great Location, Tough Visit
Look, I will say right off the bat, this was a great location. You can't argue with a beachside home, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I believe everyone should try. They had plenty of boogie boards which were awesome and surfboards (we do not surf) so that was a great surprise. But, it's expensive and you want things to be perfect. This trip was not. We found out a week before our trip that it would be raining the entire time so we knew we wouldn't be spending a lot of time at the beach, but were very excited about the spa. Especially our kids. Unfortunately, we were not informed before we arrived that the heater was not working and therefore the spa would not be working. Even if the owner didn't know this (he will claim he didn't), they should've mentioned they found a problem with the heater the day before we arrived and that they were ordering a new heater that would arrive after we left. We actually found out on our last day from the Spa repair man and not the owner or manager, otherwise, we probably wouldn't have ever known. We should've also been given the chance to cancel our trip due to this huge inconvenience. On top of that, the owner knew the heater was leaking and it would constantly lose water, so heating or not, it was faulty. Long story short, learn from our mistake and let VRBO know IMMEDIATELY if something isn't working the day you arrive. We were led to believe the spa was repairable during our stay when it actually wasn't and therefore never reported it and in the end had to negotiate with the owner for a refund. It was awkward, upsetting, and not recommended. Just report everything even if you think it's not a big deal, it will make everything easier for everyone. As other reviewers have mentioned, the living room and dining area are very TINY. Like really tiny. What you are paying for is the beach, spa, and patio, so if it's raining like it was for us, you'll be couped up and a little uncomfortable. Just something to keep in mind.
