Ideal setting for family gatherings, reunions, retreats, golf, football outings, deer camp (no hunting), or possibly a romantic get away. Our picture perfect remote, private lake retreat is surrounded by woods and meadows with no other homes in site on 11 acres. The outdoor setting has a complete package... 2.5 acre STOCKED lake for swimming, paddle boating, canoeing, fishing, kid's playhouse & playground, and an outdoor campfire set up. Plus tons of beautiful views from the deck overlooking the lake or the lower level covered patio- whether you are grilling or chilling-we have it all! NO WORRIES...we have a variety of life jackets, lake toys, and games available for your safety and enjoyment! SWIM at your own risk!
Stop at Wal-Mart before arriving because once you get here you will want to relax and enjoy the property! We are tucked away from convenience, so please plan accordingly. We are only looking to provide family-friendly get togethers!! (This is not a party house!)

Perfect retreat
We had five couples stay here for a Bible study weekend getaway. This was the perfect location to disconnect and enjoy a weekend together. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was very clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. We will certainly be back.

We Always Have A Great Time!
This is our 3rd year staying at this property. It's a spacious house that can accommodate our large group. The yard is a great size for running around and outdoor games and everyone loves being in the water all day. It's far from a lot of convinces which can make it a little tricky if you run out of basics but if you plan ahead it's a nice escape from reality!

Christmas in June
We loved our weekend. We are from rural Iowa and are used to things like well water, remoteness, and entertaining ourselves. We did have some issues with getting enough hot water for showers and had to really space things out for the heater to stay caught up. Due to the extremely dry weather, we opted against swimming and the fire pit, but still enjoyed fishing and kayaking/canoeing. We enjoyed the large yard for playing games and generally loved the peacefulness of the remote area. The home is beautiful and set up well for large groups as far as utensils/dishes/towels/sleeping. Thanks for the relaxing weekend!

Perfect getaway for family birthday celebration
We absolutely loved this property and home. It was perfect for celebrating my parents 60th birthdays. With family in Illinois and Missouri it was perfect meet up location. There was plenty of space for everyone to run, play, relax and sleep. I communicated with Amy leading up to our trip and she was very kind and helpful. We all (18 of us) agreed that we would love to meet up here again for another family trip!

Comfortable, spacious house for a large group.
This is our second time to rent this beautiful property for our family reunion, which includes our 11 grandchildren ages 11-6 mos. This is our second time staying here. It's hard to find a lot of houses that can accommodate a group of 20+ people! This one works great for us. There is plenty of indoor space so you never feel like you're on top of each other and both the kids and adults love being able to be in the water all day. Works for all ages and is definitely someplace we'll come back to.

This is a wonderful property for a big family to get together for a relaxing and fun long weekend. The water is perfect for play and the house is big enough for everyone to spread out. We loved the house and small lake on the property. It was the perfect size for our large family of 12. There was enough room for everyone to have their own space. We spent the days kayaking and canoeing the lake and just floating around in the water. The guys and kids loved fishing, they would catch and release all day long.

The perfect family retreat
There was plenty of room for our family of 20 to spread out. The lake and dock were perfect for swimming and everyone easily caught lots of fish. The only downside is the harmless smell of the well water. Perfect private getaway from the city. We loved our stay there. Well stocked kitchen and comfy beds! This property is gorgeous!

Wonderful location
Lovely secluded location. The house was a perfect set up for our family reunion, plenty of beds large kitchen and living area. Kids enjoyed paddling around the small lake with the kayak. Perfect home for our family gathering
We loved the home and the space, it allowed our family to spread out and enjoy out time together. The kids enjoyed watching moving in the lower level while the adults cooked and played table games upstairs. The outdoor space is wonderful and the kids want to be back in the summer to swim in the lake!

Fabulous Family Weekend
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Amy and Dan’s lovely home and property. Great memories were made together with our kids, their spouses and our grandkids as we ate around the tables in the spacious dining area, kayaked, boated, fish, read books, played games, looked at the stars, etc. The bedrooms worked out great for our family (15 people total) as did the kitchen areas, living areas, and bathrooms. Amy and Dan made everything so welcoming! They are amazing hosts! We had so much fun, we wish we had added an extra day!

We absolutely loved our stay at the property! The house was huge and remote. Everyone was able to have there own bed with the ample amount of space, and it was nice not to worry about neighbors right on top of you. We will definitely be going back!

Wonderful property for a large group!
This property is perfect for a large gathering, plenty of area to all be together yet enough room to have personal space. We shared this home with out children and 10 grandchildren ages 10-1. The house had something for everyone. The dining room also had enough seating for all 19 of us to sit together and eat. The lake was a big hit for all ages except the babies! We would highly recommend this property!

Lovely setting in rural MO with plenty of space for our 7 siblings and 5 spouses. August weather meant we spent majority of time indoors. That weather also meant the fish did not bite but we anticipated that. Good response from owners.

We selected this location for our annual Extended Family outing and were very satisfied with the location. It was exactly what were were looking for as we had 8 adults and 7 children and there was plenty of room for all of us.
