The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and they rotated it daily so that we didn't always have the same items. The Wi-Fi was good with no issues throughout my stay. On the negative side, however, the day I checked in the gentleman at the front desk didn't really present an attitude that he wanted to be there. This was just an overall impression. As I do, wherever I go, I inquired about any military deductions. He indicated that there is for active duty personnel. I felt his almost condescending air was a bit stiff. I replied that I guess that 23 years of service and retirement doesn't count then. He passively dismissed my response. Other than this at the check in all the rest went well.

It was great for our one night stay in Spearfish.

The rooms were clean. The beds need to have new mattresses. Could have had different breakfast foods everyday. The pool should have been ready for the busy season. Should put that on the web page.

The front staff was super nice. The location is great. My only real "complaint" is that the hotel is very dated. I know that isn't really anyones fault and doesn't reflect on the current staff. It just could really use a remodel.
