This sort of graciousness combined with a good, clean modern hotel makes customers come back. "Our first time in Vientiane was made most memorable by the team at Green Park Boutique Hotel. From our arrival to departure everyone went out of their way to make our stay as great as possible.
All the staff are very friendly and many had very good English which helped us with tips about the local area and answering queries about the Laos culture and cuisine. Special mention to our friend at breakfast, Puna, who was an inspiration in her hard working nature and desire to continue her education while working.
Very comfortable room and lovely pool area. By the time you finish a few laps someone from the restaurant will have delivered a complimentary cold water which is a nice touch after a hot day of exploring the city.
I would definitely recommend Green Park Boutique Hotel for a good base in Vientiane. It is close to two shopping malls with lots of food options and the central bus station, which we used to catch a local bus to Budha Park - great fun :)"
"Outstanding hostel in Vientiane. Small pool, billiards, great for atmosphere. Big toilet block with well tended toilet and shower stalls (sinks could use more than one bar of soap). Some weights and nice bench, couple machines yield bonus makeshift fitness space. I didn't like the massive heavy curtains that crowded the small dorm, but privacy hogs probably like it. Plug and light for each bed. Nice big wooden lockers not in use because of missing built-in keys; a trip to the nearby hardware store for clasps and an afternoon with a drill, and these could all be usable. No serious security issue anyway. Best thing here was the people. I moved my bag at night for early morning departure from nearby friend's place, and attentive manager notices immediately and worried I was unhappy about anything. "
