Very cute pub hotel. Just stayed the one night. Great location. Room was neat and tidy. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, just needed some extra attention to detail but great value for $$. Ate at the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed the live jazz. Would recommend!!

This was another great Expedia find. If you’re accustomed to the Ritz, this would not be quite what you’re looking for, but it’s a solid place to sleep and shower, and you can’t top the quality of the people who work here. A most affordable place to stay that’s right in the heart of the city. My only real problem was spotty WiFi. Loved it here, especially the people.

I was given a cabin room situated at the back of the main hotel. Any one with poor mobility I recommend not to book these rooms, The stairs are steep and exposed to the outdoors therefore may get wet &slippery . The main room was clean. None of the bedside lights worked. Only one bulb worked in the main room. There was a small window without a curtain, anyone passing by could look in and clearly see anyone who happens to be sitting or lying in bed. The bathroom was okay , although noted cracked tiles on the floor. The wallpaper was peeling off in some places. The shower screen corners were not clean. Hot water was hit or miss. On checking in I was informed room rate only. There was no option offered for breakfast which when I booked was available. The White Hart is convenient for the main city centre shops and main tourist attractions such as Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

I would stay again, a nice pub with rooms and a good breakfast. Large selection of artisan beers, and the food was nice and good value. It was right outside the Cathedral so very central, parking was a 5 or 10 min walk.

I would be great if the White Hart Inn offered a simple takeaway breakfast (at a cheaper rate) for when you are in a rush to get on the road. Maybe a voucher deal for the coffee shop next door? I think a bar fridge in the room would mean one could stay longer and refrigerate snacks etc. Loved the dog friendly atmosphere and the staff were AMAZING.

Our room number 14, was outside and up a very creaky staircase. The double doors to the room were mostly glass with a curtain to pull inside. The floor to the left sunk as you walked on it, it felt like just the carpet was stopping you from falling through. When I mentioned this to the girl on reception, she said the building was listed so hard to do work! THIS IS A HAZARD! The bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi very sketchy and poor. The courtyard to walk to the room was dirty and had dirty ashtrays on tables and the floor, most filled with cigarette buts and water when we arrived and left. Breakfast - we were a party of 4, all the large tables were full, most with only one or two people on them, there were empty tables for two. We were asked the previous evening what time we wanted breakfast, when I asked the girl about tables she said she had told people to sit there! Luckily a single man had finished shortly after we arrived. There was only one butter in pot, when asked for more the girl said that was probably the last but she did find more. Breakfast was not cheap, I don’t expect butter to run out!!!!!!!!! The food was good.
