Decorated with lots of recycled vintage items. The room and en-suite were a good size. Our room had a view of the beach and Abbey. Orange juice delivered to our room each morning. The view of Whitby and the abbey from the room was spectacular. John the reception / bar staff was brilliant throughout, and was always friendly and helpful. So that took the stress out of parking as Whitby was busy. The hotel is quirky and fabulous which we loved. We stayed in the crows nest on the the top floor. It had 3 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Each room is themed and the kids loved the treasure chest full of dressing up! Our room had beautiful views over the harbour. We went out for dinner to Trenches it's was amazing. Best fish and chips in Whitby 💕 We only booked room only so for breakfast we went out too! But there is an option of a continental breakfast at the hotel .We used the hotel as a base it's a super location and great for a short stay especially for a family of five which is difficult to find 💕. We were also given complimentary milk and tea and coffee making facilities in our apartment and fresh orange juice in the morning which is a lovely touch thank you! Very pleasant greeting from the owners and a lovely served breakfast with some very nice personal touches. A lot of thought had gone into the decor some of which was highly amusing, not least the draped mannikin in the cocktail bar. The cocktails were excellent as well. If you want all modcons of a modern hotel chain then not for you but if you like something unique, personal and quirky then this is for you. Each room is so unique - I promise you'll never stay in a place quite like it! Parking a bit hit and miss on street. Nice, quirky hotel. Very friendly, no shower became a bit tiresome after three nights and room could have done with more comfortable furniture.
