Had booked a suite but was not able to get it when checked in! Disappointing

I booked for three nights instead of two. When I arrived on Friday they had given away my rooms since I did not arrive on Thursday versus Friday. I PAID in full. I did this so I could arrive any time on Friday since I had an early flight and did not want to wait til 3pm on Friday to check in. They did NOT call me to see if I was still coming and it sounded really shady at the front desk because it sounded like me rooms were given to friends or family of the front desk. No refund was offered and they said I was out of luck. I own a property management company and we surely do not give away reservations that are paid in full. Horrible experience...AVOID them at all costs!!!
