"Great character property with beautiful bedrooms that are mostly individual. Great upstairs pool and elegant lounge salon in main building. Only minor issue is the road facing rooms above the entrance has several elderly men who talk incessantly 18 hours a day in a loud booming voice, but there in nothing the hotel can do about that. Beach Breakfast area with its world class view lacks elegant chairs that lessens its leisurely appeal. I had to remind myself all the time I was in a 4 star hotel...

"The resort nickel and dimed you for everything. Keycards, having guest stop by your room. The beach was wonderful. If you are coming with a spouse or romantic partner then wonderful. But absolutely do not come here if you are coming for any good vibes or party environment. This place is strictly for people who want to be low-key and quiet. No vibes whatsoever. "

"Beach was attended to each day in front of the property,but everything to the left and right had a lot of trash.The description of the property on Expedia was misleading,They failed to mention the two properties are about a 100 yards apart.The rooms were misrepresented,one property is actually called the Beach Lounge which is the newer of the two properties."

"Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great location in the city of stone town very walkable. Breakfast daily. This review is based on staying in two different rooms. The Shaba was large spacious. The rosemond was small and adequate but the water pressure in the shower was very low and no privacy curtain in the window. The amount of light in the rooms are low when applying makeup or using the mirror. "
