Our main criticism is with the bathroom which is small and so has a small, poorly designed shower which cannot be closed off from the balance of the room, and also a small, inadequate sink counter and shelf area. The toilet paper holder is poorly designed such that the toilet paper constantly fell off the holder and rolled behind the toilet. On the other hand the front desk clerk, Keven was very, very helpful.

From the outside and on the first floor lobby, the hotel looks nice, but specifically our room on the 6th floor was in need of cleaning (carpet had multiple stains, remnant of mini fridge, but no fridge, AC not cooling, and WiFi did not worked). We only stayed one night so didn’t bother to say anything, but the Montpelier the city is well worth a visit.
