Breakfast was good, but not great. Oatmeal was as the worst I’ve ever seen. 1st time was literally water soup with some oats. Last time was almost inedible, even the worker was embarrassed at how thick it was and offered to add water. The staff however were exceptionally good and friendly.

The executive suite was nice, with a good bay view. Staff was cordial. There was nothing for breakfast though, for our dietary restrictions, despite asking ahead of time for accommodation.
I suspected as much, but wanted to give this a shot for a day. My next stay, I've booked a suite at the IT park, with a kitchen, instead.

This hotel was amazing, the rooms were fantastic, the breakfast buffet was delicious, but the staff were the best. I believe their names were Joan (there were 2 ladies named Joan) and Shem (I didn't get the spelling), they were the most helpful and nicest people ever at the breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel.
The only drawback, they really didn't want you swimming in the ocean - the first time they said it was after 5 and no lifeguard was on duty, the second time it was the middle of the day and they said no lifeguard on duty. There were several groups wanting in, finally they brought a lifeguard and we were able to get in water. They really need to fix that - just let it be swim at your own risk. Snorkeling didn't seem to be that great, clear water but not much to see.

As a hotelier since the day I graduated from university—and having worked with Accor for 13 years—finally getting back to stay again at one of my favourite ACCOR properties, Movenpick Mactan Cebu, was something I truly looked forward to.
From the moment we arrived, everyone we met—from the security guard and bellboy to the front desk team, breakfast staff, and even the lifeguards—welcomed us with such warm, genuine smiles. This is the true spirit of Filipino hospitality: not just doing a job, but serving from the heart.
And of course, their breakfast never disappoints! As a foodie, I loved the egg live station, noodle station, local dishes, and the mix of international cuisines. Always a feast!
Plus, JJ absolutely loved the kids’ activities—free childcare was such a blessing while I packed!
Kudos to the entire Movenpick Mactan Cebu team. You made our stay truly memorable. ❤️

Nice hotel. Close to the beach. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Best of all was the staff. Friendly, kind and helpful. The only challenge was the wifi. Only worked inside the lobby or on the balcony.
