Beautiful setting and location. This place is fantastic with a relaxing atmosphere, great service but not overdone, with a sense that you are more of a guest at a home stay. The food is really great and they will help you and your partner celebrate a birthday or other event, but not a place to go and party down if that’s what you want.

There are multiple activities within walking distance - casino, spa, bar, pool. sea, restaurant, shopping mall, etc. The hotel is self contained and enjoyable by family members of different ages. It is affordable compared to other hotels in Colombo. It is new and well maintained. Staff speak English, friendly, and helpful.

A peaceful nature retreat with incredible fresh food. Our stay at Kalu’s Hideaway was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Very calmful and a lot of nature

We accidentally found this fabulous hotel due to sudden change of our vacation plan. Hotel is located in very calm quiet area within 10 km from Sigiriya local ticketing office. We had an unexpectedly wonderful time in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and supportive. Hotel has two well maintained pools and beautiful restaurant. This boutique hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms are very welcoming, beautifully decorated, nice sitting at work area, great bed and wonderful shower. The outdoor sitting areas are wonderful.. it’s like being in your own oasis. breakfast was delightful thank you Jennis and Aastha and staff for a marvelous 5 day stay.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? From the time you enter the massive fortress doors, you are ushered into paradise. The staff is top notch--nothing is too small or overlooked. The quality and comfort of the rooms is great. The staff is great. It is not a busy, active party hotel. It is a very comfortable quiet hotel with excellent staff and service. Amila, the manager demonstrated exceptional service as I was leaving the hotel.
