Turner’s Beach is a local favorite and a perfect idyll for swimmers, snorkelers and sunbathers. Its extensive stretch of coast stretches north across the broad arc of Picarts Bay from Johnson’s Point. Stroll along the beach and look out across the bay or snorkel over the mesmerizing world beneath the surface of the water. Linger into the evening at the atmospheric beach bars along Turner’s Beach and enjoy fresh local food with an impressive view of the sun setting into the Caribbean Sea.

Get acquainted with this pretty part of the world by wandering along the beach. Stretching a little over 0.4 miles (600 meters), Turner’s Beach is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Head south for the widest section of the beach, which is protected by the rocky headland of Johnson’s Point.

Spread out your towel or rent a sun lounger and beach umbrella from one of the bars on either end of the beach. Soak up the sunshine and listen to the gently crashing waves. Wade out into the water and enjoy the warm temperature of the Caribbean Sea. Turner’s Beach has some easily accessible snorkel sites. This resort was beautiful and quiet. It was definitely a peaceful getaway. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The resort is tucked away on the island and a long distance from any attractions, restaurants, and popular beaches. It would be ideal if you have no plans to explore the island. My issue was with the food. There is only one restaurant on the property and the last seating for dinner is 9pm. If you don’t dine in the restaurant by that time, there is no more food available to you. One night, I was not hungry at my reservation time and asked if I could take food to my room for later but I was denied. I would stay here again, but knowing the food situation I know to buy food from the other side of town and bring it back to the hotel with me.

Galley Bay is a beautiful resort! If you want to relax and be treated well alongside a beautiful beach, this is the place to go! The room was absolutely amazing! It was by far, the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in.My only complaint was that Wi-Fi was really only working in the rooms, and the restaurant choices were limited since only one or two a day was open.
