Ellipse has a fantastic location right next to Mall of Africa, and the aparthotel itself was very nice, but poor internal communication significantly hurt the experience. Check-in was confusing since I received no prior instructions, and despite arriving after the 3:00 PM check-in time, I had to wait in the hallway while housekeeping finished up. Later, I was granted an extra hour for late checkout (12:00 PM) because I was unwell, but management failed to notify staff. Housekeeping knocked at 11:00 AM and again at 11:30 AM, completely disrupting my rest. On top of that, the 6-digit access code repeatedly malfunctioned when trying to exit the building and parking areas. It’s a great property, but management urgently needs a centralized communication system.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Only two issues are not good: 1. Location, it requires travel to the nearest shopping mall but not walkable distance. 2. The room I stayed is quite noisy.

Basic, not the best facilities. Food was not great and took long to come. The rooms were clean

that was a nice stay in pretoria except some problems. these were not because the owners of the house but the house itself, because it is a nice old hpuse with a lovely garden, it has some issues with the oldness. I stayed in May and it was really cold inside because of the high ceiling and also isolation is not well in the windows because they are so old also. there are heaters in the room but one of them was not working. lights are not properly working in bathroom, floor was noisy because of old furniture. so be prepared for an old house. old and good looking but have such issues. beside those, owners are really kind and helpful people (wynand and jeanette) that helped me so much, they gave an additional heater, electic blanket and so on. they took care of me like my mom and dad, thanks a lot.
