only one problem--music playing outside in the square (near the river run lift) from 7:00 a.m.(!!) until 12:00 midnight(!!) and it affected our sleep... the timing must be made more humane maybe 9:00 a.m until 10:00 p.m.

Great for families. The trail outside the hotel is why I booked this place, and although I checked ahead and followed up with concierge about its location and use at check-in, the trail is closed to the public now and property of USAF - and running on it is considered trespassing. Came to Colorado while training for a marathon; ended up having to run 14 miles back and forth from the hotel to the adjacent visitors center. That's a super nuanced thing, but runner beware.

Especially if you enjoy historic properties with extensive amenities, The Broadmoor is worth the not insignificant price of a stay! A beautiful location in Colorado Springs, this resort is very well-maintained with lots of activities on offer, including world-class golf and extensive outdoor experiences. We had lovely meals in a variety of restaurants, and like the best of this type of resort, it was full yet never felt crowded! Guests of all ages, including many young families during our summer visit.
