Frederick Cheap Vacations

The desk clerk was polite. The room rate was very cheap, so our expectations were low, but the online ad was misleading. It did not mention breakfast as an amenity, but contained a photo of a breakfast room with cereal and fruit etc. on the counter. When we checked in, there was a sign that read 'Due to Covid, kitchen is closed.' Our bathroom had not been cleaned since the previous occupant; there was fecal material on the underside of the toilet seat and a partially used bar of soap in the shower. The refrigerator worked, but the freezer section had no door, was iced over several inches thick. I admit, in the hotel's defense, we didn't request a change of room or make any complaints at the time; perhaps they would have given us a better room.

Booked 4 nights for our mom’s caregiver and she left the second day before midnight because of bed bugs. She told the front desk she was leaving. The room was not also very clean. I called expedia to request a refund after the second night about 1h30 after the regular check out (11am), and the Motel 6 refused to refund the 3rd and 4th nights. We only got money back for the 4th night. I also think Expedia did not push enough for us to get that refund. I will never use this Motel ever again!
