Bay Area Golf Vacations

We stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. The property is beautiful, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming—the service was definitely the highlight of our stay. That said, at roughly $1,400 per night, we expected a much higher level of luxury. The overall experience felt closer to a nice Hyatt or Hilton than what we anticipated from a Ritz-Carlton. Dining options on the property were also limited. Our meal was good, but it was the most expensive and least memorable meal of our trip, so we chose to eat elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. We enjoyed our visit, but the experience didn’t justify the price.

The carpet had a noticeable layer of dark dust that made our feet dirty. There were also several fruit flies inside that we were unable to get rid of. In addition, the property was not temperature-controlled before our arrival, and the room was extremely hot as the outside temperature approached 100°F.

Everything about the Maple Tree was great and easy, especially for the price we paid! We would 100% stay again. It was super clean, and all the staff were helpful. As is typical for many hotels on the Peninsula, it has low ceilings in the hallways and the stucco feels very 1980s. I only add this tidbit because I sometimes find it difficult to discern from the ratings. However, this is one of the best values around!
